Holiday Fundraising for ASPCA and Semper Fi Fund

Regardless of the season, WebDevStudios (WDS) never stops giving back. Whether it’s actively supporting the WordPress initiative Five for the Future (which we have done since 2014) or organizing, speaking at, and attending WordCamp conferences around the world, WDS is always finding an opportunity to pay it forward. We continue that mission at the end of every year by hosting a holiday fundraising event. This year, we broke our team into two, each competing to raise the most money for their selected charity, and we invite you to aid us with our efforts. Our annual charity challenge is on! We need your support. Let’s meet our teams and learn about their charities.

Paws & Claus for ASPCA

Led by WDS COO, Co-Founder, and owner of a charming menagerie of feathered and fur babies, Lisa Sabin-Wilson, the team called Paws & Claws chose the ASPCA as their beneficiary. Known as the national leader in animal rescue and protection, working tirelessly to put an end to animal abuse and neglect, this nonprofit organization is special to WebDevStudios because so many of our team members have rescued pups, kitties, and more and incorporated them into their own families by giving them a home. You can help Paws & Claus save animals by reaching their goal of $2,500. Use the widget below to make your donation now.

Team Nutcracker for Semper Fi Fund

“I’ve never had Veterans Day off until I worked at WebDevStudios,” gushes Senior Backend Engineer, Justin Foell. “Having a veteran Marine CEO who requires a mandatory day off on that day instills the company culture that we should honor our vets. That makes me really proud.”

Of course, Justin is referring to WDS CEO, Co-Founder, and Marine veteran, Brad Williams, who leads Team Nutcracker. This group of revelers is dedicating their holiday fundraising efforts to the Semper Fi Fund, an organization devoted to providing a variety of supportive programs that assist wounded veterans in all branches of the United States Armed Forces. The holiday season is certainly a time when veterans need our support the most. Now is your opportunity to show yours. Honor US veterans by clicking the Donate button on the widget below. The team’s goal is to raise $2,500 for the Semper Fi Fund.
