As a Support Technician for our WordPress maintenance and support company, Maintainn, Russell Aaron (we call him Russ) is dedicated to keeping over 200 client websites updated and problem-free. He’s among the first to know about new releases and versions of WordPress, themes, and plugins alike. And, he sees first-hand what happens when a website is not kept updated, including the conflicts that can arise, not to mention website downtime. It’s not unusual for a new client to go to Maintainn with a website that is still on WordPress 3.0.
One of the results of Russ’ role is that he is very passionate about educating others on the importance of keeping WordPress websites updated. In fact, he spoke on the topic last year at WordCamp San Diego. You can watch his talk below. He addresses specifically the many ways a website owner can keep a network of WordPress websites updated. There’s no reason to be complacent when there are plenty of things you can do to keep all your sites current.
